Projects In Production

and In Development

We provide a unique approach to documenting basic solutions to complex international and historical issues.

Inside the MAGTF: America’s Emergency Response Team

A one hour television documentary series that follows Marines assigned to the MAGTF.  The producers will follow entry level recruits as well as senior level Marines on missions that involve everything from national emergencies, such as the earthquake and tsunami in Japan and the meltdown of Fukushima, to the confrontation in Benghazi, Libya.

What makes this documentary extremely special is the behind the scenes access by the producers, most being former marines themselves.

Pilot:

The Marines were established in 1775, and after over two hundred and thirty-five years, the United States Military still relies on the Sea Soldiers to provide both the most immediate assistance and protection to allies worldwide.

After the historical background is presented, the show will get to know and understand the servicemen and women that comprise the unit.

The project will follow the marines as they prepare for their assignment aboard a Navy ship.  A number of these ships, at any given time, are on constant standby, steaming strategically in several oceans across the globe. If there is a crisis anywhere in the world, these Marines rush into the breach, to assist and protect the community.

Production Philosophy:

The producers believe that no one should either aggrandize, nor belittle, the cost of service to one’s country and the defense or assistance to the global community.

The production intends to reflect the hopes, dreams and motivations of the marines recently out of bootcamp and how they integrate into the MAGTU.  We are also aware that heroes are not scripted, nor chosen from central casting. It is our intent to first achieve access to the sensitive operations, and then follow the marines that excel in their jobs, once properly cleared by the DoD. It is by action that a hero is defined.  The producers feel that each and every marine provides a service to the corp, but that by establishing a relationship with several MAGTUs, both while on the boat, and on base, when a critic mission is acquired, and the marines arrive, the production will have the most unique view of both the issue at hand, and the marines that are on the ground addressing the issue. Those marines that distinguish themselves in these trying situations will be the ideal candidates for a more extensive background review.  These are the potential stars of the show.  Real heros, from real situations.

The United States Marines Corps demonstrates its highly efficient crisis response by the design and immediate readiness of the each of the three active, off shore MAGTU “boats” that are on constant call from any part of the world.

Series Production:

The producers will work with the Public Relations Officers of the U.S. Marine Corps and receive clearance on any and all sensitive footage via the Department of Defense.

An Inconvenient Solution:

Building Fusion Today

A Documentary by Peter SteenOlsen

“A Day Without Fusion is a Day Without Sunshine.”

The film will investigate a specific design for commercial fusion energy generation by outlining the components needed for a Heavy Ion RF Accelerator Driven Fusion system.

First, the story will cover the relatively brief history of fusion in the hands of mankind.

Physics Definition of Fusion: A nuclear reaction in which nuclei combine to form more massive nuclei with the simultaneous release of energy.

Fusion becomes possible, after the first blast of the atomic bomb. The intense pressures created inside an atomic bomb allow scientists to harness pressures generated through fission to create a fusion reaction.

This has been one of the major issues with generating fusion energy - fusion requires immense levels of pressure to create an amount of energy that is greater than the energy required to create fusion in the first place.

The Cold War spawns an intense commitment to research fission and fusion.  Both the Soviets and Americans are interested in making power without a

At the Department of Defense during the early 1970s, a group of scientists theorize about the possibility of generating energy by using - for lack of a better term - “two bullets” fired at the unbelievable speed of half the speed of light - and timing these projectiles so that they collide within a space of a millimeter some miles away from their starting point.

The calculations revealed that Heavy Ion Fusion had absolutely no weapons value.  This realization allowed the scientists some years later to offer the project to the Department of Energy.  The initial estimated output of 35 Gigawatts is equal to 30 Nuclear Fission Power Plants, and therefore was viewed as “Too much power” to “plug” into any existing power grid of the time.  What’s changed?  Come find out.
